God Is Our Deliverer
The Lord knows how to deliver the godly. 2 Peter 2:9
When Jesus taught us to pray, “Deliver us from evil,” He was connecting our prayers to one of the most amazing themes in the entire Bible: Our God is a God who DELIVERS! Throughout the Bible, we see story after story of God rescuing His people from danger, trouble, and evil.
Moses told the Israelites, “The Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you” (Deuteronomy 23:14). King David said, “He delivered me because He delighted in me” (Psalm 18:19). The book of Job promises, “He shall deliver you in six troubles, yes, in seven” (5:19). And the apostle Paul wrote about how God “delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us” (2 Corinthians 1:10).
Do you see the pattern? God has ALWAYS been in the business of delivering His people, He IS delivering His people right now, and He WILL continue to deliver His people in the future!
But what does it mean to be delivered? It means to be rescued, saved, or set free from something that’s hurting you or holding you back. Maybe you need to be delivered from fear or from a bad habit or from people who are mean to you. Maybe your family needs to be delivered from money problems or sickness or fighting. Maybe you need to be delivered from feeling sad, lonely, or angry all the time.
Think About It: What do you need God to deliver you from today? Remember, God promises that He “knows how to deliver the godly.” That means He’s not just willing to help you—He’s an EXPERT at helping you! He knows exactly what you need and exactly how to provide it. Don’t be afraid to ask God for deliverance from whatever is troubling you. He loves to rescue His children!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
