On Monday, February 24, the National Religious Broadcasters association commenced their annual convention at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, Texas. Attended by more than 5,000 individuals, the annual convention is an opportunity for professionals in Christian media to learn what is happening in the industry and network with other Christian communicators. At the opening session on Monday night, Turning Point’s President and CEO, David Michael Jeremiah, led convention attendees in prayer for the week’s events.

“Lord, we represent You, and it is a profound and humbling task. May we represent Your Word accurately, steward Your resources wisely, and may we clearly reflect Jesus’ teachings in all we do,” prayed Jeremiah. “The future is in Your hands, and we are passionate about pursing it,” he said as he asked the Lord’s blessing on the convention week ahead and on all the organizations present.

The NRB is a non-profit international organization that exists to protect free speech and the free speech rights of its members through advocacy in government, corporate, and media sectors while also working to foster excellence in its membership. Dr. David Jeremiah Issues Statement on Recent Plane Crashes

(San Diego, CA) This past week, our nation has faced two great tragedies back-to-back, with the collision of American Airlines flight 5342 and a military helicopter in Washington, DC, followed by the crash of a medivac plane in Philadelphia. At moments like this, our comfort can only come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But that does not mean we shouldn’t rally around our brothers and sisters experiencing fear and heartache. Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians that God comforts us “so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves received.”

We have seen this kind of behavior the last few days as first responders and neighbors have jumped into action. Whether you personally know someone affected by these tragedies or you’ve just been touched by the news, let us all pray together for peace, answers, and a lack of fear.

As our first responders continue to work to protect lives and property, may we as a nation pause to pray for our neighbors.

The psalmist tells us that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

So I pray that night will end and morning will soon dawn on all the towns impacted by the fires in Southern California.

I ask You to keep this region in Your loving care. Provide wisdom to the leaders of the state, cities, counties, and organizations leading the response to this disaster. Comfort those who have lost so much, and may Your peace fill those who are anxious and afraid.

May we as neighbors not only lift our brothers and sisters up in prayer, but also be Your hands and feet to so many in need in the days ahead.

Dr. David Jeremiah Issues Statement on the Terror Act in New Orleans

(San Diego, CA) Every act of violence is a tragedy and can strike fears for safety. How devasting that on a day typically filled with joy and excitement for new hopes and plans, many are facing devastation and heartbreak. Our hearts break for the family and friends of the innocent lives lost and for those who were injured in this senseless attack.

At moments like this, where words fail, our prayers don't. This tragedy reminds us of the critical importance of placing our trust in Christ and praying for peace and God's protection for all Americans. Proverbs tells us, "Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; for the Lord will be your confidence." We don't know what drove the person responsible to take such actions, and we may never know, but we know that the Lord is with us in all circumstances, including this one.

Today and in the coming days, I ask that you join me in petitioning the Lord on behalf of our brothers and sisters in New Orleans, our leader and law enforcement officers who are responding to this attack, and all Americans as we navigate the fear of the unknown.

Heavenly Father,

The psalmist tells us you "are near to the brokenhearted."

So, I pray for peace for the community of New Orleans and all those immediately impacted by this act of violence and terror.

I ask you to keep them in Your loving care. Watch over them as a Good Shepherd watches over His flock, and may we all find ultimate safety and security in You.

Please guide our leaders and law enforcement officers, giving them your wisdom as they seek justice for the victims and safety for all Americans.

May we remember that even though fear may come, You are our confidence, and we need not remain in fear, for You have overcome the World.

(San Diego, CA) A week after Hurricane Helene made landfall, we are learning more about the devastation this storm caused over a large portion of the Southeast, and our hearts break for all those whose lives have been upended by this disaster.

From Florida to North Carolina thousands of people have lost loved ones, homes, businesses, and entire communities. Not since Hurricane Katrina have we seen a storm produce so much devastation. As the death toll rises and the full scale of the physical damage comes to light, may we as a nation pause to pray for our neighbors.

The wreckage left in the wake of this storm is immense, and words can’t completely express the heartache experienced by those in its path or the sympathy from those of us watching it unfold. But where words fail, the Lord provides. The psalmist says that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). It will take time, but there will be joy beyond this pain. I believe that the Lord knew this storm was coming, His presence was with His people in the storm, His presence is with them now, and He will continue to be with them in the difficult days that lie ahead.

SAN DIEGO, CA—Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

Over 200 years ago Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence and declared to the world, along with 55 other men, that “all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among those are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Those words have echoed through time as generations of men and women have carried on the fight for freedom to endure both here and abroad. America has long stood as a beacon of freedom and hope around the world, welcoming thousands to our shores who are looking for a brighter tomorrow.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend for picnics, barbeques, parades, and fireworks, let’s not forget the sacrifices that have been made and the responsibilities that lie ahead for American Independence.

Every generation has faced the question “Will this nation endure?” and we face it again now. I believe it will. And I believe America has great days ahead, but we must do our part. Elmer Davis is quoted as saying, “This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.”

As a Christian my bravery comes from my faith in Christ. Regardless of what circumstances I find myself, God is in control. He is working in the circumstances around me and through me. He is not surprised; therefore, I can bravely stand. The Bible tells us, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God…will be with you” (1 Chronicles 28:20). It also tells us that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

With this in mind, I want to echo a famous question from our 35th President, John F. Kennedy: “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

America is a blessed nation, and I believe God has blessed America because of the men and women who built and have sustained this nation with reverence to our Creator, shared responsibility, and continued prayer. Service comes in many forms, and I want to encourage you to think about your role in this great republic, but one thing all of us can do, and we can start right now, is to pray for this great nation.

Please join me now in lifting up, in one united voice, a prayer for our nation to the One true God under whose Providence this nation was born.

Almighty God,

In all history, there has been only one nation like America—
founded by pilgrims seeking freedom to worship, established on
a vast continent between two oceans, dedicated to the

When people think of Easter, the things listed above are probably not the first things that come to mind, but each element existed on the first Easter. They all played an essential role on a day in history that changed the world for eternity.

Thousands of years later, though the circumstance may be different, each of these things still exists. Somewhere a greedy friend exists, an angry mob is taking to the streets, a ruler is handing out judgement only to appease, a criminal is repentant of his crime, and the world is still in need.

The good news?

The tomb is still empty, and the obedient Son is on the throne. Easter may not be the most celebrated holiday in the world, but its significance can’t be overstated.

It’s a day marked by a life given so others could live. A Resurrection so that death could no longer hold power. A message of forgiveness, salvation, and reconciliation shared so the whole world could know.

Without Easter, the Gospel message is incomplete.

The singularity of the Good News is Christ’s death and Resurrection. In 1 Corinthians 15:17, Paul says, “If Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” Without the Resurrection, there is no Good News, and without the Good News, we have no hope.

But thank the Lord for Easter! We have hope because He is risen!

Easter is the Good News of the Gospel—Christ came, He dwelt among us, He died in our place, He rose from the dead, and He is coming again.

We have hope! We are not lost in our sins and separated forever from our Creator. Because of Easter, we live, and we can live a life of abundance—not abundance in material things but in eternal things. Through Christ, we can live a life free from the fear of death, a life steeped in everlasting hope and abundant joy.

Easter was first; it was foremost; it is the basic bedrock truth of the Gospel.

That is Good News worth sharing and celebrating.

May the good news fill you with hope and unexpected blessings as you celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior today and every day.

San Diego, CA--On Tuesday, February 20, David Michael Jeremiah, President of Turning Point with Dr. Jeremiah, was elected to the Board of Directors for the National Religious Broadcasters Association. The annual meeting was held during NRB’s 2024 Convention in Nashville, TN, where broadcasters and Christian communicators from around the world gathered for the four-day conference.

NRB’s Board of Directors is elected by its voting members to govern the organization’s direction at large and oversee the eight standing committees representing the various interests of NRB members. While addressing the voting body, current NRB President Troy Miller noted that the association is in its eightieth year and still going strong: growing in membership, remaining financially stable, and looking ahead toward the future of broadcasting. This new slate of board members is stepping into a growing organization and will take NRB into an exciting future.

Prayers for Lakewood Church

San Diego, CA--Every shooting incident is a tragedy, and with each one, fears for safety in places once safe grow stronger. How devasting that a place where we go to find hope becomes a place of calamity and heartbreak yesterday. Joel Osteen is a friend and brother in the ministry, and our prayers are with him and his entire congregation at this time. I also want to extend prayers to the families of the two individuals critically injured in the shooting and to those who witnessed the incident. We don't know what drove the person responsible to take such actions, and we may never know, but what we do know is that the Lord is with us in all circumstances, including this one.

At moments like this, where human words fall short, I rely on the words that have stood the test of time. May the promises that God spoke through King David and the Apostle Paul speak to all of us today—"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted…He comforts us all in our affliction."

Today this list probably does not contain the first images that come to mind when you hear the word Christmas. However, all of them were incorporated into the events that played out that first Christmas more than 2,000 years ago. While the sights and sounds of Christmas have changed over the course of history, the meaning of this blessed season has not.

All the unexpected events, people, and places of the first Christmas were the backdrop for the most unexpected gift of all time: the unexpected and unconditional love of God that motivated the birth of Christ.

What a privilege it must have been to see the Son of God! These simple individuals launched the history-altering celebration of Christmas. They proved that joy can infect even the most unlikely of subjects and that Christmas is for everyone.

Imagine the shepherds gazing into the darkness, the Magi following a star to an unknown place, and Mary and Joseph birthing their first child alone. Then suddenly heaven pierced the darkness and reflected the glory of God. It was beyond their wildest dreams, and they were terrified. But the angel said: “Do not be afraid” (Luke 2:10).

Whatever your Christmas holds this year, do not be anxious. We have the same privilege the first Christmas participants enjoyed. We have a wonderful invitation to receive the love of the Lord, to be included in His family.

The shepherds didn’t return unaffected to their sheepfolds. Luke 2:17-18 says, “Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.”

This Christmas come with haste and discover Christ. When you do, you will be compelled to speak of what you’ve seen, heard, learned, and felt. That is how His message spreads, as we sing: “Joy to the world, the Lord has come!”

Christmas and joy are inseparable.

Luke 2 records the story of Christ’s entrance into the world, whether you’ve heard it a hundred times or this is your first invitation, join me in reading the Christmas story out of Luke 2. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (verse 11).

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 1, 2023—In October, Dr. David Jeremiah, founder and host of Turning Point broadcast ministry, launched his newest book and teaching series, The Great Disappearance. In less than a month, the book has climbed various best-selling charts and reached #4 on Amazon. San Diego, California — Turning Point is pleased to announce the hiring of Mark Crozét as its new Chief Development Oficer, effective April 1. Crozét brings a wealth of experience in the field of development with a proven track record of success in taking organizations to new levels of donor relations.

Crozét comes to Turning Point from the National Center on Sexual Exploitation where he served as vice president. During his time at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, he was responsible for building out fundraising operations, increasing revenue, and growing the organization.

PASSAGES is a fast-paced digital series hosted by David Todd Jeremiah, the grandson of Turning Point's founder and CEO, Dr. David Jeremiah. The series follows David Todd and his friends as they embark on previously untried activities, discovering new insights about creation and their faith than they had known before. The first season of PASSAGES will air each Monday on YouTube for ten weeks beginning Monday, October 7, 2019. 

According to David Todd, PASSAGES was created to "reach an age group that is searching for answers and to go where they are rather than asking them to come to us." While an average of 75 percent of Christians come to faith before they turn 18, a high percentage leave the church after high school and do not return until they have young children of their own. Studies show the youth of today does not feel church attendance is that important. But Dr. Jeremiah feels differently, "Don't turn away from the God of your fathers," he told a crowd in Macon, Georgia. "There is a real need to reach the youth of today with the answers that can only be found in the Word of God."

Turning Point has a long history of television, radio, and digital media excellence and has earned a solid reputation as a trustworthy production company. PASSAGES is the latest project to be undertaken by Turning Point and follows the successful launches of programs like Route 66, Airship Genesis, Haven's Light, Agents of Babylon, and I Never Thought I'd See the Day.
