While writing Agents of Babylon, based on the Old Testament book of Daniel, Dr. Jeremiah received a strong, fresh calling from the Lord. Specifically, as he studied the life of Daniel, he was struck by how Daniel gracefully and honorably stood up for God in the midst of a godless society. Daniel was able to not just survive but thrive in Babylon, a culture that stood in stark contrast to his own beliefs. In the face of death and persecution, Daniel was not afraid to Stand Up for God. Now is the time for Christians to do the same thing—to Stand Up!
