Our God loves light—He invented it on day one of Creation.

He is light—1 John 1:5 says that “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”

Though the world often seems like a bleak place, our days don’t have to be overcast nor our new year gloomy. We can choose to live in His light. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). The light of God is energizing! Psalm 34:5 says, “They looked to Him and were radiant.” And Isaiah 60:5 says, “Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy.”

This year, we want to encourage you to live in God’s light, walk in His light, and reflect His light to others. “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). Let His Word be a light to your path (Psalm 110:105). “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

As you walk with the Lord in the light of His love, our prayer is that His glory will be reflected through you each day and in every way in 2025!
